The much-touted self-assembled Sandwichbike starts shipping December 1.
With bicycle culture and craft in ascendance, bike fever has spread past the artisanal frame builders and fixie fanatics to infest the every man. To wit: the fall launch of the Sandwichbike (anticipated by us earlier this year) by Bastens Leijh’s Dutch design studio, Bleijh Industrial. Leijh set out to prove that there are legitimate new ways to approach bicycle design and put it in the hands of the consumer.

Most refrigerators stand around 70″ tall, slotting into a 6 foot space in the kitchen. Many homes have over-the-fridge cabinets designed to add storage and blend into the rest of the kitchen space. But more often than not, these high cabinets are difficult to reach, and regularly end up being untouched storage space. Which brings us to the question: more kitchen cabinet storage or a taller refrigerator with more food storage capacity?
Google today announced a new “holiday special” deal for the Nexus 7 on Google Play. When you buy the tablet in the US and Canada, you’ll also get free shipping and a $ 25 Google Play gift card. The offer is for a “limited time” – while the company doesn’t provide a date, we suspect it will expire by the end of the year.
The fine print is as follows: “Good for one $ 25 Google Play credit (excluding devices and subscriptions). Offer expires on, and must be added to a Google Wallet account by March 31, 2014. Once added, credit must be used on Google Play by March 31, 2015.”
